Looking to buy a new laptop or notebook computer. Anyone know of a good one under 500 dollars?
Does anyone have any opinions of a good laptop or notebook under 500 dollars? All I really need is 3 or 4 GB of memory, DVD and CD play and burn capability, and wireless. Pretty basic. So does anyone know of a good brand or specific laptop or notebook I should get?
I looked on Dell and the minis only have 1 GB memory and I want 3 or 4 GB.

My 2 favorites are Asus and Acer, they usually have the best build quality and battery life. I don’t know any specific models but you could look at their websites and just do a customize.
I recommend just making sure you have a 2 ghz dual core processor and that the wireless includes draft-N support.
I recommend Dell laptops or (Toshiba/IBM Lenovo)
visit compusa.com or dell.com for product details and
prices/promo
Not HP
the dell inspiron 1545
I would recommend checking out Dell, either the Inspirons or the Minis. You can go to their website to build your own based on what you need, the Minis basically have smaller screens. Dells are your best bet definetely, you can find them there as low as $300 I think.
http://www.dell.com check the Inspiron
Under $500 you can get many laptops but I would suggest that you should go for refurbished laptops - Why because it will cut your cost into half and as well as they come in great condition and best in work.
Refurbished laptops are cheap and you can get a good latest technology within your budget - So my advice is go for refurbished laptop
