Purchased a AS4315 in late July from Radio Shack. Excellent for the price. Great looking metallic case. Superb wireless and wide screen display and love the Acer interface. Acceptable battery life of around 2 hours. Touch pad has good feel and DVDs play in wide screen. Awesome for the internet with acceptable streaming.
This is a entry level laptop lacking some of the bells and whistles of Vista home premium and duo processer speed but does the job very well. The combo drive just writes Cd’s. I added 512mb’s of memory for my spreadsheet and accounting and game programs to speed things up. Cost was around $50.00. Watch for rebates on this. Mine was $399.00 after rebate making it even a sweeter deal. I found Radio Shack runs rebates every 3 or 4 months on this computer or similar and one is due this month. Only regrets is I should of purchased two as my son has taken mine over.
If your interested in a refurbished one here is a much better one for 50 more dollars… better everything
