Dial up connection on Dell Notebook? How do I turn it off?
I have a Dell Notebook (Windows XP if it makes a difference) and the setting got changed from something else (which worked) to Dial up (dosn’t work). My laptop is not connected to a phone, so of course it wont work. How can i change it back. My internet no longer works. Please help me. My computer is screwed up.

Hi
Click Start, Connect To,Show all Connections and see if your connection is there if it is right click and enable it if it is disabled.
I cant quite understand what our saying dial up is a connection direct to a phone line. Broadband/adsl is connected to your computer by a modem, either wireless (by network card inside the computer or one you have to slide in yourself or an adapter which fits into usb port) or cable (Ethernet )which connects into the back of your computer from the modem. So exactly what have you got.
Come back!!
