I doubt not. Centrino and Centrino 2 are totally different technology. If you do want to do the change, I assume to change the whole mother board–in a laptop aka buy a new one. Notebooks are not built to be upgraded that way.
Hope that helps!!!
The simple answer is "No". Notebooks are not built to be upgraded that way.
I don’t think you should replace your cpu. For one, buying the cpu separate is usually far more expensive than getting one pre-built with your desired cpu. Also, if i remember correctly, few laptops allow you to do aftermarket upgrades like this, most of the time, the cpu is soldered in.
So I suggest that if you haven’t maxed out your ram, get some more of it. Adding just a little bit can make a noticeable difference.
like the guy above me said, unfortunately no…. thing is though that when you go and buy a laptop aim for mid-level if you can afford it. This way you can "guarantee" yourself a longer life, barring any unforeseen things like an earthquake in which ur computer falls into the bowls of the earth, or the even you accidentally drop it in very quick quicksand.
hope that helps
Unfortunately, laptops are not meant for upgrading. I am unable to find which motherboard is used in the cq60, but my instincts tell me it would not be compatible. If you were looking for a computer to personalize you should have went with a desktop or picked out the parts from a website like newegg.com and built your own.
