I have a Compaq Presario CQ50-110US Notebook PC (on Windows Vista).
The problem’s like this:
Everytime I turn it on, it boots normally - to the point where it asks for my account password. When the time comes to show the desktop, the screen shows a white ‘nothingness’. I have to restart it around 1-3 times for it to display the desktop. I’ve tried System Restore and all but to no avail.
Help please? Thanks in advance.
**in reply to Jerry J’s question:
By desktop, I mean when it’s time to display the wallpaper, icons and all. In place of that, all it displays is a white screen.
Both computers are on the same wired router, and both go to the same "sites". The notebook seems to pick up malware overnight. It has to be constantly scanned to remove such. What can I do to stop this? Why is the laptop picking up so much more than the desktop? Both are using the same virus protection plans. The laptop incessantly blinks on the screen until after I run a "good" scan!
Hi could anyone tell me how this notebook fairs? Do Dell notebooks usually have a lot of problems? How is the support? Any personal experience with this computer? Any reviews of it that you have found to be helpful? Has this notebook been getting good reviews? Anything you can tell me would be really helpful. Thanks! A best answer will be chosen.
I’m looking for a notebook computer in Malaysia at the beginning of February for less than 3000 ringit.
Any suggestions?
